FORTUNE ISLAND
Santorini of Batangas
(Nasugbu, Batangas)
This island definitely offers tranquility and serene getaway for everyone. Who would have thought this island is just miles away from Manila???
Fortune Island is a resort island in Batangas province in the Philippines. The 27-hectare (67-acre) island lies about 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) off the coast of Nasugbu town in Batangas. The island was long owned by José Antonio Leviste, a former governor of Batangas Province. Leviste opened the Fortune Island Resort Club on the island in 1995.

Fortune Island is open to public, so you do not need to make a reservation. It is a perfect getaway when you are planning to go on weekends with your family or friends! Please see below, our itinerary to give you information about the fees and travel time.
First things first! You have to bring your own TENT! There are no cottages, electricity and water in the island. Live the camping life! Taking into consideration that there is no electricity and water, you have to bring lamps, candles, gallons of water (necessary for your NEEDS), cooking utensils, toiletries, first aid kit, food, BEER (haha)! and anything you need to survive the night. There are no toilets sooooooo.... you have to do what you gotta do bro! ^____^
My friends and I decided to go on a Saturday and we were able to get back to Manila the next day. When we reached the resort, we paid the mandatory Environmental Fee, P300/ head if you are going on a day tour, but since we prefer to go overnight we paid P400/ head. Then, we found Manong Andoy, we haggle and got the boat from P4000 to P3500 for 10people. It was a good deal I think, because we get to save P500 from our pockets. Just use your "TAWAD" skills..haha!
Fortune Island is indeed a majestic island mirroring the feel of Santorini in Greece. Clear water, blue skies and white sand beach. We couldn't ask for more.
We woke up early to get pictures and to catch the sunrise. I highly recommend you wake up early! Here are the photos taken from our trip.
Going up to the Grecian pillars !
It felt so good sitting at the edge of the cliff and looking at the clear blue sea.

It was a wonderful and an affordable adventure for me and my friends.
Hope my blog helps and see yah in my next island adventure!
Cheers,
